My experience with LLMs in Cursor is starting to look a lot like my experience with wines. 🍷

Sure, there’s nothing wrong with a great $15 Barossa shiraz. But a great $50 one is just better. So if funds become available, you don’t love the budget option quite so much anymore.

Similarly, I can get a long way for $20/month with the Composer 1 model in Cursor; a very long way.

But Opus 4.5 is sitting there on the top shelf, calling out to me, because we can do amazing things together.

I know it’s going to burn through my credits, but I select it. And it tastes good.

And sure enough, when I’ve run dry, and I’m prompted to increase my on-demand spend limit with one click, I do exactly that.

Because once you get a taste for $50 shiraz, it’s very hard to go back. 😲
