The power of personalisation in the Meldus analytics agent

I recently created a new personalisation feature in the Meldus analytics agent, and the power of it just blows me away.

I’ve been deep in data and analytics for most of my career: building platforms, writing code, sitting with users to understand what they really need from their numbers. In days of yore, I’ve shipped dashboards, BI tools, and “self-service” reporting.

These offered tons of valuable info, but designed to be consumed by a large group of users. But personalising the experience to an actual, individual human? That was typically unfeasibly complex or expensive, or both.

An agentic AI approach to analytics upends that calculus dramatically.

Now you can ask something as broad as “How are we tracking against my targets?” and get an answer shaped by your individual context — your metrics, the thresholds you’ve set, the way you view the business.

The agent just needs minimal upfront details of who you are and what success looks like for you. From there, it interprets each question through your personal lens — dynamically and consistently. Like the personal data analyst you’ve never had.

It’s a small change in the product, but it’s been a big “a-ha” moment for me. It feels like the tech is finally catching up to the promise I’ve been chasing for years. 🙂
